Formulation Engineer, Interior Paints Division Manager

How did you evolve within Cromology ?

My journey at Cromology began very early, as I started formulating even before I graduated and finished my studies. I did my 6-month internship at the La Bridoire site in Savoie, to validate my training as a chemical engineer.

After 3 years’ experience in marine paints, I returned to Cromology’s R&D laboratories. For 4 years, I worked as a lab engineer for interior paints. I told my superiors of my desire for geographical mobility and an opportunity arose in 2015. That’s how I joined the facade paints team, first as a lab engineer and very quickly as manager of part of the facade projects. I was given responsibility for the (MTL) Measurement and Testing Laboratory, in charge of certain tests, customer complaints and the technical center’s metrology. For 7 years, I worked as a partner in charge of façade projects.

At the beginning of 2022, the teams were reorganized, and I no longer managed the MTL to devote myself fully to façade R&D. I was appointed head of the Façade team and of the newly-created center of excellence.

In mid-2023, after more than 8 years working on the facade and following a reorganization of the laboratory, I was offered the position of Head of Interior Paints and the associated Center of Excellence, which I accepted with pleasure and also a little apprehension in view of the expectations and challenges to be met!

What’s worth emphasizing is that, over the years, I’ve always had the confidence and support of my superiors, who have enabled me to progress so far within Cromology, and I’d like to thank them all very much for that!

What do you like in your job ?

I love formulation, it’s a science that’s quite difficult to master and always has its share of shadows and mysteries. This makes the work difficult and therefore interesting.

I also like the coordination required with all the other professions (marketing, plant, logistics, purchasing, technical, quality, regulatory, etc.) to ensure that our customers are satisfied at the end of the chain. And last but not least, I like the people I work with, the R&D team at La Bridoire, the Group’s R&D teams and the service teams with whom we are in daily contact.
