How did you evolve within Cromology?

I joined the group in 2001 with a work-study course in Business administration in the Tollens Toulon Store (South of France). During two years I worked with my manager to set up sales events, market studies and clients’ satisfaction surveys. At the end of my work-study program, my management offered me the newly opened position of Sales Associate in Toulon. For four years, I worked my way up to become the Store Manager’s right-hand man.
In 2007, I became Store Manager in Hyères, deepening my product knowledge. I also learned more about running a store: my first challenge was met, with sales up to 15% in one year.
Between 2010 and 2014, back to Toulon as Assistant Manager and then Manager : the largest store in the area regarding both sales and surface. I managed a team of 5 salespeople.
Since 2022, I’m Retail Manager, with responsibility for 11 stores in my sector. I am responsible for the sales performance of my teams. On a daily basis, I support them in their sales initiatives, merchandising plan execution and stock management.
The handover with the previous Director, the tours to meet the teams before I took up my new position and the training courses offered by Cromology beforehand, gave me all the keys I needed to get started in the best possible conditions.
And with my knowledge of the networks and the day-to-day work of the teams, I can effectively liaise with all the support functions to ensure that each member of my team achieves their objectives.

What do you like in your job?

A lot of things! Above all, I like the « human » side of management by supporting and developing the skills of my teams.
I also like the autonomy I have in my work : I can lead my own sales actions to achieve objectives.
And, at last, I like the action and the wide range of subjects peculiar to an « operationnal » job, working days go by at a crazy pace and none are alike!
